Built in 1976, Hotel Topaz is just as lovely as its namesake gemstone of which some of the premier examples are mined in Sri Lanka. The hill capital of Kandy is the last royal stronghold in the country and Hotel Topaz is considered its crowning jewel, a residence fit for even royalty. Renowned for their good food, it had been offering its guests a taste of authentic Sri Lankan life.
